●The theme of this year's Norwegian Seafood Festival is "Celebration"!
Salmon and mackerel raised in the cold, clear waters of Norway are not only delicious, but are also loved around the world as safe, secure, and environmentally friendly sustainable seafood, and have now become a familiar sight on Japanese dinner tables.
The year 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the first arrival of Norwegian salmon, which can be eaten raw, in Japan, and the birth of the new food culture known as "salmon sushi." It will also mark the 5th anniversary of the first arrival in Japan of "Saba Nouveau," a fresh, seasonal Norwegian mackerel that is delivered to Japan without ever being frozen.
Come experience the charm of Norwegian seafood and Japanese culinary culture at this year's event, which celebrates the collaboration!

"Mackerel Nouveau" is fresh Norwegian mackerel that is air-shipped to Japan in its freshest form.
In Norway, mackerel is fished mainly from late September to early November, when the fat is marbled and the fish is at its most nutritious.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of Saba Nouveau's arrival in Japan, and we will be giving away free charcoal grilled food and sushi again this year.
*There will be a total of 2,000 charcoal-grilled "Saba Nouveau" meals and a total of 1,200 sushi meals during the period. They will end when they are sold out each day.

The ever-popular Norwegian salmon will also be BBQ-cooked and distributed free of charge. Also, as a new initiative this year, to commemorate 40 years since fresh Norwegian salmon first arrived in Japan, there will be a free distribution of Norwegian salmon sushi.
Enjoy fresh, fatty and tasty Norwegian salmon flown in from Norway.
*Norwegian Salmon BBQ is limited to a total of 800 servings during the period, and Norwegian Salmon Sushi is limited to a total of 1,000 servings during the period.
It will end when stock runs out each day.
