This is a specialty store that sells wallets, business card holders, pen cases, and other items made from "Bunko leather."
There are over 100 patterns to choose from, including cute floral patterns and unique Egyptian designs.
The pure white cowhide is embossed and then hand-painted by artisans one by one.
This is a traditional craft that is finally finished with lacquer and powder from a plant called makomo.
They have been handmade in a workshop in Sumida Ward since 1927.
