pocchiri
4F East Yard 9 Block Japan Souvenir (Souvenir/Miscellaneous Goods Area)

"pocchiri" is a purse brand founded in Kyoto in 2012.
The name "pocchiri" comes from the small, round protrusion (potchi) on the opening and closing part of the purse, which is a characteristic of the purse, and is cute, understated, and has a Kyoto-like feel to it.
In fact, there is a word that is not even in the dictionary, "pocchiri," that is only used in the geisha district of Kyoto, and it is the name given to the obi fastener worn by maiko. This obi fastener is a very precious and special item that has been handed down from generation to generation in the yakata (house) to which the maiko belongs. The name "pocchiri" also contains the desire to be that kind of presence.
We aim to be Japan's first Kyoto-based pouch brand, by conveying the appeal of pouches through our products and stores, so that people will say, "When you think of pouches, you think of pocchiri."
We have a selection of Made in Japan purses that combine "basic yet playful design" with "user-friendly tools."
