[Demonstration] Edo character drawing "Atelier Sougeikan" -Tomohiro Oishi-
August 4th (Wednesday) - August 10th (Tuesday) 13:00 - 17:00
In the Edo period, artisans who drew letters and family crests were called "kakiya," and generally speaking, lantern makers were artists who added letters not only to lanterns, but also to signs, flyers, and so on.
Edo characters are filled with auspicious words such as "improving luck," "rising trend," and "big success," as well as wishes for good luck, and are not just interesting in appearance.
The "hand-drawn wooden name tags," with raised characters to bring good luck, are always very popular.
It is popular as a talisman for yourself or your family, or as a gift for entrance ceremonies, birthdays, etc.
This is a great, one-of-a-kind, original gift!
