East Yard 4th floor "Tochigi Satellite Shop Tochimaru" presents an announcement of the "City and Town Introduction" project in Tochigi Prefecture.

This time, I would like to introduce "Shimotsuke City". It will be held from 6/28 (Sat) ~ 7/3 (Thu) at the event space in the store.

Shimono City is located in the south-central part of Tochigi Prefecture, and the city is developing around three stations on the JR Utsunomiya Line. It is a "city that is easy to live in" in many aspects, with a good living environment and convenience, such as a blessed transportation network that makes it easy to commute to and from neighboring cities and the Tokyo metropolitan area, a well-equipped medical institution such as Jichi Medical University Hospital, and a small impact of natural disasters as evidenced by history.

The "Shimotsuki Cherry Blossom Party" introduced in the event space this time is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 19 at Tenpeinooka Park, which is adjacent to the former site of Shimono Kokubunji Temple and Kokubunnunji Temple. The puja that was held 1,300 years ago at Kokubunji Temple to pray for the happiness of people is arranged in a modern style, and summer cherry blossoms bloom at night in Tenpeinooka Park by the light of about 6,000 candles.
