TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN celebrated its 10th anniversary today, Sunday, May 22nd.
On the day of the opening anniversary, the "TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN 10th Anniversary Celebration" was held at the Sky Arena, a plaza on the 4th floor of TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN.
The commemorative festival included a speech by Ichikawa Ebizo 11th, who continues the traditions of Naritaya, and "Ichikawa Ebizo's Glare in the Sky," a performance at the top of TOKYO SKYTREE 634 meters above ground, in which he performed a "glare" that can only be performed by actors with a connection to Naritaya and is said to bring good health and prosperity to those who watch it for a year. The event was broadcast live on the large screen installed at the Sky Arena.
In addition to expressing gratitude to everyone who has supported them thus far, and with the desire to continue walking together into the next 10 years, 634 customers were presented with "TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN 10th Anniversary Original Coasters," each carefully crafted by local artisans in Sumida Ward, in honor of the height of TOKYO SKYTREE.
